Early in the morning we went out for our 1st tour in Wuhan. The 1st place is ‘Dong hu’ ( The east lake) they have wonderful scenery and this lake is one of the largest lake in China. They have a lot of memorial portrait, for example memorial portrait for ‘Qu yuan’ (the ancestor who related to dumpling & dragon boat festival).
Next we continue our journey to Wuhan Museum. They content a lot of artifacts that proven China early history. They have artifacts of Chu Dynasty which show in olden days how people survive and how they own a dynasty. While touring the museum, the tour guide mentioned why most of the king dead much earlier then their people. The reason is because the king in olden days used utensils made by some kind of resources which contain poisonous material. By using it in long run the materials will accumulated in the bodies and cause them have shorter life compare to the poor who can afford to use high end product like the king do. So, these information brighten me with the question why king die in young age.
Beside, we also have a chance to see some artifacts that related with tomb of ‘Cheng Hou Yi’. Its really unbelievable! Imagine how the people build their own tomb like a kingdom, so that they believe when they died they can still have luxury life. In the tomb they have a lot of coffin, not only coffin foe the king but also for the servants and army. Pictures speak louder than words, so enjoy our photo session….
Then we have our lunch at the street market we tried a lot of different food again. It’s a good experience to taste deer meat and some other pastry which we can’t find in Singapore. After lunch, we went a place called ‘yellow crane tower’ its one of the famous tourists spot in China. Its famous because of one of the famous poet “li bai” had went there and try to write down his poem when he saw such a pretty scene, but on the spot he saw someone has written something on the wall in the pavilion. After seeing that he decided not to write anything because he found the poem on the wall is beautiful enough. Then, he intends not to spoil the beauty. Thus, the pavilion is named an “ Ge Bi Ting”.

In every different dynasty they will build a new yellow crane tower because it’s famous and during changing in dynasty there will be war, so the original yellow crane tower is destroyed and been burn down. So the king of new dynasty will build a new one so they can win the heart of their people and improve the relationship. Different dynasty have their own design of crane tower, for example dynasty ‘Qing’, ‘song’, ‘yuan’, ‘ming’, ‘tang’ and lastly the current want.
After visiting all these interesting places, we end our trip and return to our dorm. Later we have group dinner again in the back alley, and we tried their porridge and dessert. It’s a good try! I’ll go there often before going back Singapore. Last but not least….Night!
